Smoke Coming from a Structure in Etna

1:45 – Initially dispatched as a fire alarm for the StorExpress warehouse on Butler St in Etna, a call to 9-1-1 upgraded the assignment within a couple of minutes to a full box alarm.  260 Truck arrived on scene 4 minutes after dispatch as 149 Deputy Barr) had taken command.  Smoke was pushing from an HVAC unit outside of the building, however there was an abundance of smoke inside of the structure.  The fire was determined not to be directly from the HVAC unit, but from a piece of particle board underneath the unit that was on fire.  After pouring nearly 2000 gallons of water on the unit and particle board, the smoke finally dissipated and there were no hot spots.  Units were clear about an hour from dispatch.
