The Volunteers Learning Pet First Aid & CPR
The members of Cherry City VFC were taught some interesting things on this training Tuesday on the final night of November. The County Animal Response Team (CART), who supports Westmoreland, Fayette and Allegheny Counties, took the time to come out to Cherry City and teach the essentials of Pet emergencies, specifically if there is some type of emergency (i.e. Structure Fire, Accident, Etc.) The volunteers were guided to administer oxygen for different size animals, basic First Aid and also CPR & Rescue breathing on different animals.

Also, thank you to Karen Sable from the CART team for training our firefighters on pet first aid and CPR. Our members now have essential tools that can save your furry family members in emergencies!
