Apartment Blaze in Sharpsburg

At 1:00AM, the volunteers from Cherry City were dispatched into Sharpsburg for a report of a building fire near S. Main St and 5th St. 265 Chief and police arrived on scene with fire pushing from the front 2nd floor of a two story apartment building. 260 Truck arrived on scene and was tasked to conduct a search, as one person was reported unaccounted for. The crews pushed through the 1st floor finding nothing and battered into the fire damaged 2nd floor, also finding no victims. The fire was deemed under control at 1:38 and our search crew was then re-tasked while inside to assist with overhaul operations. Small hot spots remained stubborn in void spaces on the second floor but were all finally extinguished around 3:00AM. Cherry City cleared the scene after cleanup operations at 4:00AM.
