Residential Fire in Aspinwall

Just after Noon today, the Volunteers were called into Aspinwall for the residents reporting a smell of something burning in the house. 102 Chief was on scene within a couple of minutes and reported he had smoke coming from the house. 260 Truck was on the road within minutes with a crew of 4. Upon arrival, our crew was assigned to fire attack in the basement area in the front of the house. The fire was quickly knocked down and our crew assisted on the 2nd floor with fire attack as the fire had spread up through a wall in the front of the house. The fire was contained to that front wall and minimal damage had occurred. The truck crew was then re-tasked to split and check for any hot spots. Crew 1 remained inside and checked around the walls finding nothing. Crew 2 went up on the roof and checked around the eaves and gutters for any hot spots. Nothing more was found and the truck crew was released around an hour after initial dispatch.
