Late Night Crash on Rt 28 in Shaler

Company 260 was alerted for a wrong way crash in the Southbound lanes of 28 in Shaler. 260 rescue arrived with 2 vehicles head on with heavy damage to both vehicles. A MCI (Mass Casualty Incident) was declared by EMS due to the number of patients needed evaluated and transported. 3 adults and 8 children were transported to local hospitals by multiple EMS agencies. Fortunately, no serious/life threatening injuries were reported. Rescue crews remained on scene for containment and traffic control
