Electrical Fire in a Shaler Residence

Companies were alerted for smoke inside of a house in the 100 block of Ida Lane in the Bauerstown District of Shaler Twp. 260 Captain arrived with smoke showing. Interior crews found a small fire caused by an electrical cord. The fire alarm inside the home alerted the residents and called 911.

This is a good lesson as to why fire alarms are important to maintain and check every 6 months.
