House Fire on James St in the First Due
17:49 – Units were dispatched for a report of a kitchen fire on James St just off of Seavey Rd this afternoon. 260 Captain was the first arriving unit and reported a working fire. Etna VFD arrived and began stretching a hose line while 260 Truck arrived and began a search inside of the residence. Undercliff and Aspinwall Truck companies arrived on scene and began throwing ladders to windows for egress and evacuation, fortunately, neither of which was needed. Bauerstown Engine handled a back-up line to assist with Etna inside. Millvale and Aspinwall began ventilation and checking an adjacent structure for any extension. The fire was contained to the room of origin and units spent some time conducting overhaul on the fire room and assisted with the Fire Marshal Investigation.
