Bob Schindler, Past Chief of Cherry City, Passed Away at 81

The Cherry City Volunteer Fire Company is sad to announce the passing of Past Chief Robert “Bob” Schindler. Bob joined the fire company in November of 1967 and was the Chief at Cherry City from 1980 to 1985 then again from 1991 to 1992. Bob was a “one of a kind” guy and an all around great person to be around. Bob set a good foundation for Cherry City of what it means to be a good leader. His dedication to the fire company will be greatly missed. We will all miss his “Cherry Smile.”
Rest in Peace Chief, you will be missed dearly and thank you for your service of 55 continuous years!
