Residential Fire in Etna Borough

Box 149 was dispatched just after 1:30am this morning for reports of a kitchen fire in the 200 blk of Butler Street. 149 Chief arrived with a working fire on the C-side of the building. 260 truck and Engine 149 arrived and began first arriving duties. 260 truck staffed with 5 split their crews and began searching on divisions 1 & 2 simultaneously. 260 truck found the seat of the fire on division one and began fire suppression with a water can with an attack line right behind them. All searches were negative for victims and the fire was held to the room of origin.

This marks the 16th working fire since January 1. The Allegheny County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
