1/4 – Water Break & Gas Line Rupture in Millvale Boro

191 crews were on the scene of a rather large water break on Sherman St when they requested the assistance of 260 with pumping of multiple houses.  While on scene, the water break caused a gas line to rupture in the street as well.  Crews worked for 2-1/2 hours controlling the scene.


1/13 – Commercial Fire in Etna Boro

14:49 – Truck 260 was diverted away from a call in 259’s district for a report of smoke showing from a commercial building at 80 Hafner Ave in Etna Boro, caller in by police.  With temperatures in the teens, crews battled the main bulk of the fire for about 90 minutes, most of the time had Cherry City Truck having to breach concrete walls in the structure to knock down the fire following the roof collapse.  260 Units remained on scene until 19:50 hours, 5 hours from the start of the incident. 


3/9 – Vehicle Crash in Shaler Twp

Cherry City Units responded for a vehicle crash on Anderson Rd near McElheny Rd in Bauerstown


3/15 – Multiple Vehicles on Fire in Shaler Twp

Companies responded for multiple vehicles on fire in the lot of ABC Transportation on Evergreen Ave.  No injuries reported.


5/8 – Vehicle Crash on Shaler Twp

Crews were dispatched for a 2 vehicle crash with injuries in the 1800 Block of Babcock Blvd.


5/18 – Vehicle Crash on the Shaler Twp / Millvale Boro Line

Company 260 was dispatched with 191 for a vehicle crash with injuries in the 100 block of Evergreen Ave. 


6/2 – Commercial Fire in Aspinwall Boro

Crews from the lower Allegheny Valley flocked to Brilliant Ave in Aspinwall to fight a basement fire in a commercial structure.  No Injuries reported. Helmet Cam Footage from Nick Skalos


7/5 – Flooding Hits Millvale Boro Again

About mid-morning, calls started pouring into the Allegheny County 9-1-1 center for flooding conditions in the North Hills, specifically Ross Twp and Millvale.  Here are just a few shots from around Millvale courtesy of First Due Photography


7/8 – House Fire in Millvale Boro

Strong work by all today at the 2-alarm dwelling fire in Millvale this afternoon. 260 truck was tasked with laddering the A-side and searching for fire in the building. 260 LT and his crew as well as 259/247/317 found heavy smoke with zero visibility and high heat in the 3rd division. Crews opened up and extinguished the fire


7/28 – Kitchen Fire in Millvale Boro

Another working fire in Millvale this morning. 191 chief arrived on scene with nothing showing until access was made and found a working fire on the second floor. The engine company made the quick knock and crews checked for extension. 260 crews laddered the building and checked for extension. 3 dogs were rescued from the building and are in good condition. Great teamwork by all departments working.


8/26 – Overnight Crash in Etna Boro

Around 0315 hours, rescues 149 and 260 were dispatched for a vehicle crash with rollover and possible entrapment on RT28 NB in Etna. Police arrived on scene with 1 vehicle on its side and everybody was out of the car however there were multiple injuries. 260 rescue immediately assisted Shaler EMS with patient care and vehicle stabilization. Crews had 28 shut down for about an hour. Cause of the crash is under investigation.


8/28 – Morning Crash Brings Rt 28 to a Standstill in Shaler Twp

This morning at 0737 hours, Rescues 260/149 were dispatched for a multi-vehicle crash with rollover and entrapment on Route 28 SB in Shaler. PD arrived with everyone out but 1 vehicle on its roof. 260 rescue stabilized the vehicles with cribbing and then began patient care while 149 started handling containment. 28 was shut down for about an hour while crews worked to get the roadway clear.


9/24 – Car Fire on Rt 28 in Etna Boro

Crews from 149 and 260 responded to a vehicle that caught fire while traveling along Rt 28 North.  All occupants were accounted for and there were no injuries


9/25 – Car into a House in Etna Boro

Well, it never did reach the house, however it did some damage to the deck at a house in the 100 Blk of Parker St in Etna
