Large Brush Fire in Reserve Twp

15:00 – Crews from all over the North Hills were dispatched to assist with a brush fire that was started from a downed power line off of Pittview Ave in Reserve Twp. Cherry City responded with the Engine and Truck and stretched a 400′ hoseline as well as one of the high-rise packs (extra hose/tools) over the hillside to help battle the approximate 3 acre blaze that was wind-driven! The fire was marked under control in about an hour, however some utility poles were burned pretty good and Duquesne Light was already evaluating as the fire companies were packing up!
