House Fire on Evergreen Ave in Millvale

Yesterday evening around 17:00 hours, companies were alerted for an abandon house on fire in the 700 blk of Evergreen Avenue in Millvale. First arriving unit reported heavy smoke inside the building. 260 Truck took side A, and knocked the bulk of the fire down with a water can while 191 Rescue stretched an attack line and put on the remaining hot spots. Fire was contained to the room of origin and under control within 15 minutes. The Allegheny County Fire Marshal is investigating the cause.
